It is an opportunity to lead one of Victoria's most ambitious primary care transformation programs and help shape the future of community-based healthcare.

LCHS is implementing a Five-Year GP Strategy and Three-Year General Practice Sustainability Roadmap designed to build a high-performing, integrated and financially sustainable medical service for the future.

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Medical Director who is passionate about improving health outcomes and ready to lead meaningful change.

Reporting to the Executive Director Medical Services and Oral Health and working in close partnership with the Medical Services Operations Manager, you will provide clinical leadership, medical governance and strategic direction across our GP and urgent care clinics.

What You'll Lead

As Medical Director, you will:

• Provide visible and influential clinical leadership across multiple GP clinics.
• Lead clinical governance, quality, safety and risk management.
• Drive implementation of innovative and integrated models of care.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve access, performance and sustainability.
• Develop and inspire a high-performing medical workforce.
• Strengthen GP Registrar, IMG and Medical Student training and supervision programs.

• Build strong partnerships across hospitals, universities, PHNs and the broader health sector.
