What you will be doing in this role?

 

Reporting to the Ballarat Area Manager, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the NDIS Local Area Coordination team across the Central Highlands region. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service by supporting staff, maintaining accurate records and assisting community members who access the program.

 

Your work will include:

 

  • Providing administration support including correspondence, filing, scanning and document preparation.
  • Managing phone enquiries, transferring calls and providing information to participants, families, carers and service providers.
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings and community events.
  • Preparing meeting agendas, minutes and documentation.
  • Maintaining client records and data systems in line with organisational and NDIA requirements.
  • Assisting with data collection, reporting and quality improvement activities.
  • Coordinating office resources and supporting community engagement activities.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration or equivalent experience (desirable).
  • Demonstrated administration experience in a busy office environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
  • Well-developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Understanding of the needs of people with disability, their families and carers (desirable).
  • Current Working with Children Check (Employee).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check and NDIA onboarding requirements.
